The following are involved in the centennial commemoration of
the death of Henry Benjamin Whipple, first Episcopal Bishop of Minnesota. If
you would like to help or participate, please contact them.
- Ben Scott (sbsally@rconnect.com), retired Dean of the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour, Faribault,
Minnesota, is the Coordinator for the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota
Celebration.

is Chair of Hospitality.
- Susan Barksdale (susan.b@episcopalmn.org)
is Chair of Display/Sales.
- Paul Jefferson (paul_jefferson_ks@hotmail.com)
was the first to suggest the Whipple Weekend 2001 to the
Whipple Website. He is presently contacting relatives of Bishop Whipple
and is putting together a mailing
list.
- Judith Oehler (j.oehler@worldnet.att.net)
lives in Minnesota. She has organized the history center projects and
hotel accomodations.
- Jack Hanstein (NFPCONSULT@aol.com)
is the liaison for the Whipple family with the Diocese of Minnesota. Jack is a great great grandson of Bishop Whipple, and works for the Diocese of Northern California as the Executive Director of Episcopal
Community Services. He plans to attend the Whipple Weekend in
Faribault with his three sisters.
- George Carroll Whipple III (gwhipple@dlj.com)
has been studying and researching Whipples since (at least) 1976, when
he wrote The Illustrated History
of the Whipple Family in America,1631-1987. George is a Director of Credit Swisse First Boston in
New York City. He is featured
in Whipple's
World on NY1 television.
- Carol Barrett lives in St. Paul and has offered
assistance in obtaining documents and coordinating directly with the Historical Society etc.
