BISHOP HENRY B. WHIPPLE

Bishop Henry Benjamin Whipple was the first Episcopal Bishop of Minnesota. The American Indians of Minnesota referred to him as "Straight Tongue" because of his truthfulness and honesty in dealing with them. (Visit his home page on this site. See his Whipple genealogy in the Whipple Genweb.)
